With the holiday season coming up I thought I would share some more or less seasonal thoughts about what a Deist Christmas might be like.
I long ago earned the seasonal nickname “Scrooge” for my refusal to join in Christmas celebrations. At that time I still considered myself a Christian but felt that Jesus would have been horrified at the hedonism and licentiousness associated with the cel ...
There was a bit of a ruckus over on one of my favorite blog sites a couple of months back when biological anthropologist Barbara King took the world’s most famous atheist, Richard Dawkins, to task for urging his followers to “mock” and “ridicule” those who professed belief in the trans-substantiation of bread wafers in the Christian sacrament of the Eucharist.

I've just ordered the book "Drunk With Blood: God's killings in the Bible." It is amazi
you're probably more adept with maneuvering through these sites Colleen, I kinda just hunt & peck and try and remember how I got somewhere... this site does seem much quicker and easier to get around. The layout is different but I'm getting more comfortable w/every visit. Enjoy.

Basic Information
Birthdate:

About me:
Well, at the ripe age of 75, my reasoning power won out over the christian religion that I was indoctrinated with. I'm still learning every day & feel spiritually free. I read a lot, do a number of crafts, enjoy stimulating conversations, computers (Mac), researching & feel blessed to have really nice people in my life.
I was born in London, UK
I've lost my husband & two children: I hope their spirit energy is around me. I have a daughter in another State, a granddaughter & a great granddaughter that I seldom see. That pretty well sums it up.
